At All-Ways Car Rental we specialize in providing solutions for adventure travellers. We have put together a great range of accessories that you can hire with your New Zealand rental car or campervan hire. These are additional to your rental - so you can add further flexibility and comfort while on the road. These accessories can be hires from our offices in Christchurch or Auckland.

The accessories listed are subject to availability and must be pre-booked. Prices are per hire, regardless of length of hire unless otherwise stated. All prices are in NZD. Product may vary from the images shown. All we ask is at the end of the journey please return the gear back in the same condition as it was, as a courtesy to the next client.

Our cars and campervans prices are cheap and so are all of the extra hire items. This way you can tailor your adventure to your budget. Please note, as our head office is in Christchurch some items are not available at all locations without prior notice. Not all extras are suitable for small cars. Our dedicated team will advise you if necessary.

Child Seats	Hire a baby capsule, child seat or booster seat from All-Ways Car Rentals with your Christchurch car hire. We will gladly have the seats you require placed in your rental vehicle, unfortunately we can not fit these for you. Your responsibility as the driver is to make sure any child under seven years is properly restrained by an approved child restraint. They must not travel in the car if you can't put them in an approved child restraint. Please note there is a limited number of baby and child seats for hire with your rental car or camper van, so please make sure to mention your need in the booking form. An email confirming the allocation of a child seat to your campervan hire or car rentals will be sent to you by our reservation team. The rental cost of a child seat is only NZ$30 per hire.

GPS Navigation System	Hire a GPS navigation system from All-Ways Car Rentals for just $5 per day (Max $150 charge). The GPS system is very straight forward and intuitive to use and takes a lot of the stress out of driving on unfamiliar roads whilst travelling around New Zealand. Due to popular demand it is advisable to pre-book this accessory.

Snow Chains	During winter months snow chains are often required to drive safely on New Zealand ski access roads. Please ensure you request snow chains and ski racks for your NZ ski holiday. Before you begin fitting the chains please ensure they are free from any twists or tangles and that all the connections are open or undone. » Hold the chains in a horseshoe shape with the opening away from you. » Place the chains on the ground and pass one end of the hoop around the back of the tyre. » Raise both ends of the hoop and fasten the fitting at the top so the hoop is at the back of the tyre (make sure you do not let go at this point, as the hoop could fall behind the tyre). » Wrap the chains around the tyre and fasten the hook at the front. » Adjust the chains so they are sitting in place on the tyre. » Pass the long length of chain with the rubber strainer and hook through the tensioners and hook onto a secure part of the chain. Removing snow chains When removing the chains un-hook all fastenings and lay the chains flat on the ground (you may need to turn the steering wheel to access the fastening at the back of the wheel). Carefully move the car off the chains and pick them up. By making a double hoop and placing them neatly in the carry case it will make it easier for next time they need to be fitted. Please Note Ensure chains are fitted firmly to the tyre to avoid damage to the chains and the vehicle. Do not exceed 30km per hour while chains are fitted to your vehicle. The rental cost for snow chains is only NZ$35 per hire.

Roof Rack	Our 4WD car hire all have ski/snowboard racks designed to carry 6 pairs of skis or 4 snowboards. During the winter months snow chains are often required to drive safely on New Zealand ski access roads. Please ensure that you request snow chains and ski racks for your NZ ski holiday. The cost of ski and snowboard racks is only $35 for the length of your hire. We also offer roof racks for hire with your Christchurch car rental.

Bike Rack	Hire out our Trunk mount bike rack to go with your rental camper when travelling to one of your New Zealand biking adventures. Capacity: 2 Bikes. For our 4WD vehicles we have tow ball mounted bike rack to go with your rental four wheel drive when travelling to one of your New Zealand biking adventures. Capacity: 3 Bikes. Note: product may vary from image The rental cost for bike rack is only NZ$45 per hire.
